Since you guys are from Las Vegas, what’s your favorite casino out there? I was just… I was just standing there… confused. (Laughs) What hasn’t happend to us on stage? Once a microphone exploded in my hands in Fargo. What’s the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you on stage? How cool was it playing at Gillette Stadium? By the way, who won that game? Any chance the Circle City will get a chance to see you again this year? I saw you guys perform last year here in Indianapolis. They have done an amazing job develpoing us and many other amazing acts. They are the best management team out there. Tell me a little bit more about In de Goot Entertainment. We wanted to make it feel more like Mexico. We have a great management team that helps us with all that.ĭo you get an infinite supply of Monster energy drink? You have a ton of sponsors! Do they find you are you out there seeking new representation? Then you get to meet the band and we will sign it all! We have an online merchandise store, but the best way is to come to a live show. We have some more cool stuff in the works. What sorts of options are out there for me and your fans? Let’s say I want to sport some Adelitas Way merchandise. She was sweet, and did a great job on that. Tell me a little bit more about the video, the production, and… who is the girl? Holy cow, I LOVE the video for Last Stand. There are so many but, I love the The Valarium in Knoxville. Is it possible, with all the live shows you play, to have a favorite venue? It’s a big deal for us… to be able to do that You guys are using MySpace, Facebook, Twitter… how do you keep all those social networks straight? How much creative control do you have to forfeit being on a major? I want people to be able to relate to the songs I write. I write all the lyrics and melodies… from things I have been through in my life. I can’t wait for everyone to hear Home School Valedictorian. We definitely stepped it up on the new album. How are you guys looking to top that with your next release? So your first album, self-titled album, is incredible. We haven’t played with them, but their manager is our attorney! Have you ever shared the stage with those guys? I’m from Philadelphia, Derek is from Staten Island, Trev is from Orange County, and Keith is from Knoxville, Tennessee. As a songwriter, I’m very emotional, I put myself in people’s shoes a lot and live vicariously. The band name emerged from the sad stories behind the “way” they lived at the Adelita – Adelitas Way. I chatted with one girl, questioning why she was living this life. There were a bunch of young, really pretty girls and I realized it was basically a brothel. Freaked out, we went to the first bar we saw in Tijuana to have a beer and calm the nerves. Corrupt cops robbed us, but I stashed away a little cash in my socks. Where did you guys come up with the name Adelitas Way?ĭuring a band road trip to LA, we took a detour to San Diego, and when I woke up from a nap in the back of the band truck, we were getting arrested in Mexico. It is my absolute pleasure to introduce you to one of the best bands out there right now… Adelitas Way. After one listen, I dare you to not move your feet. I hope to see then on the road again soon, and look forward to their new album coming out later this year. They are a modern day rock band, and are not afraid to show it! There are so many bands out there trying to copy what these guys do, and do it so naturally. They have a hard rock attitude, and dress the part. Their lyrics are polished, and their lead vocals kill. I have been listening to these guys nearly every day since I discovered their tunes, and that was over a year ago! I actually had the chance to see them perform live last year, and was equally blown away.
Not sure where I first heard these guys, but I’m glad I did.
